I called ahead for a sandwich because i always call during the week and the cook gets it done reslly fast, he’s never had an issue with it but today, WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I call and the lady who answered took my order and told me i could go to the deli, i get there and the lady cooking with glasses tells me that when i call they have to write the order down and they have so many sandwiches to do so i can’t call. Cool. But to my understanding, the woman picking up the phone is supposed to write down the order and communicate with the cook. The deli is empty and there’s only me and another guy, he’s been there before me and he gets his order 10 min after i am there, another girl walks in and the cook takes her order, she tells her that she’s working on hers. After i’ve been waiting 15 minutes for a sandwich i called about 5 min before getting there, I had no choice but to walk out. I was just trying to get a sandwich before class. Please get better staff who are good with adapting and customer service. never getting a sandwich there again.

New staff rips off customers! I’ve been coming here for years and always loved this place, especially because of the service and the student discount. You become friends with them you know? But something has clearly changed with the new staff and I just cannot. I miss my Indian princess and the nice man who is always smiling while cooking…and honestly at this point I’ll turn around if I don’t see her at the cash register. Today I asked for a chicken club panini, which they haven’t had for a few days—even though I can literally see the ingredients. The guy finally agrees to make one today, and it’s supposed to come with a drink and chips. After I pay, I notice the girl isn’t putting chips in the bag. I ask about it and she just says “not today.” No explanation, no substitute, nothing. I’m standing there confused like… what do you mean “not today”? If you don’t have the regular chips, fine—replace them. But to just give nothing and not say anything is crazy. Then the guy comes over like “I made you a panini!!!” as if he did me a huge favor. Listen, 5 stars all day. Wish I could take them with me back to LA. This conveniently located Brooklyn Bodega hit the spot, their food & coffee is perfection. The Santa Fe omelette nearly killed me (with joy!) Bagel sandwiches were solid too , I don’t think the menu can do any wrong honestly. Thank you for the great service too! See you again.
